Tim resides in Burlington with his wife of 54 years. Together, they are the proud parents of two married sons and the delighted grandparents of four wonderful granddaughters who bring immeasurable joy to their lives.
Over the years, Tim has faithfully served his church in various capacities, including as an usher, deacon, and men’s Sunday School teacher. Beyond his church involvement, Tim has demonstrated a deep commitment to his community. His volunteer work spans multiple roles, such as coaching youth sports, serving as a phone counselor for a suicide and crisis hotline, collecting food for the Salvation Army and a local homeless shelter, and participating in organizations like the school PTA and booster club. Additionally, Tim has been an active member of the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Board of Elections.
Tim first learned about Freedom’s Hope through the men’s Bible study group at St. Mark’s Church, his home church. Inspired by fellow group members who volunteered there, Tim became involved as a volunteer before eventually joining the Board. He is deeply motivated by the vision of Freedom’s Hope founder, Charlotte Evans, whose mission to assist clients with immediate financial needs while connecting them to long-term resources strongly resonates with him. Tim finds great inspiration in this work and the positive impact it has on the community.
