Wendy Roberts EXecutive Director

Wendy’s vision aligns closely with the founding values of Charlotte Evans, whose legacy continues to guide Freedom’s Hope. As a torchbearer of Charlotte’s mission, Wendy honors her memory by advancing the work Charlotte began—uplifting the vulnerable, restoring hope, and building a stronger, more compassionate community. With Wendy's leadership and dedication, Freedom’s Hope is well-positioned to grow and deepen its impact for years to come.

Wendy Roberts is a dedicated, community-focused professional with more than a decade of experience serving and uplifting individuals and families in Alamance County. She spent nine years at the Alamance County Department of Social Services, where she developed deep expertise in public benefit programs, client advocacy, and community outreach. In this role, she worked closely with people from all walks of life, offering both practical support and heartfelt compassion during critical moments of need.

Following her public service, Wendy continued her mission-driven work by spending two years with a local Christian radio station. There, she helped amplify voices of hope, faith, and connection, further strengthening her ties within the community and deepening her understanding of the spiritual and emotional needs of those she serves.

Wendy brings to Freedom’s Hope a rare combination of professional experience, personal integrity, and a profound commitment to service. Her extensive knowledge of community systems and benefit programs, along with her strong relationships across Alamance County, make her an invaluable leader and advocate for the center.
